RO manufacturers use “atmospheric tanks” for product certification. This is like running a stream of water into a bucket.
Residential RO systems, on the other hand, use a pressurized tank to store pure water.
Most RO systems are initially 25-33% efficient, which means they use 3-4 gallons to make 1 pure gallon of water. As the tank fills with water, it creates back pressure, and efficiency drops down to only 5%. It can take up to 20 gallons to produce 1 gallon of drinking water.
The Axeon RO solves these problems with a high pressure booster pump that increases the pressure on the membrane to eliminate problems from back pressure. You get an efficient clean water system with great water pressure.
RO membranes purify water by physically seperating pure water from contaminants that have been dissolved (metals, salts, etc.).
The higher the water pressure, the better the water.

Standard reverse osmosis systems that rely on a tiny air bladder in the storage tank for water pressure start out strong when the tank is full, but pressure drops off quickly as you use water. This is a problem:

- It takes forever to fill up a coffee pot!
